YOGYAKARTA The convict Koruspi who is also the former chairman of the Democratic Party Anas Urbaningrum has been released from prison after undergoing leave before his release (CMB) for three years.

This news was confirmed by the Community Guidance Officer from the Bandung Fathers, West Java Budiana on Monday, July 10, 2023.

He said that the leave period before the release of Anas Urbaningrum had actually ended on Sunday, July 9. However, the granting of a pure free letter was only given to Anas the day after.

"During his time on leave before his release for three months, he was obliged to report to the Fathers once every two weeks," said Budiana, quoting ANTARA.

Budia said Anas had been obliged to report for six times. He ensured that as long as the program there were no violations committed by Anas.

"Thus, he is entitled to a guidance exemption letter," he said.

As for the awarding of the pure free letter, Anas was present directly to the Bandung Fathers on Monday, July 9, 2023. He was present with sympathizers to the location.

Anas admitted that he could not undergo activities freely while on leave before release. This is because Anas has to do mandatory reporting and obey all the regulations that are still binding him.

"This is the beginning of me to carry out personal tasks as well as public duties in the future," Anas said at the Bandung Fathers.

"Three months ago it was still temporarily free through the CMB program. Today it is completely free. So, by being free, God willing, my steps will no longer be a burden," said Anas again.

Anas said that he would return to politics, because so far his environment is very close to this matter.

"Like a pool, I am a political pool. God willing, I will enter the pool again. Like what? Just wait, it can't be conveyed on Fathers," said Anas.

When asked about whether there was a plan to meet Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), Anas did not provide a clear answer.

"Wait for the dream first. In principle, I will do it, God willing, good things. Better things in the personal context and in the public interest. That is my guide," said Anas.

To account for his actions, Anas was sentenced to 8 years in prison. However, he received a CMB from the Sukamiskin Bandung Prison in April 2023.
