MAMUJU - West Sulawesi Police uncovered a case of alleged corruption in the solar power plant (PLTS) project in Bonehau District, Mamuju Regency.

Head of Public Relations of the West Sulawesi Regional Police, Kombes Syamsu Ridwan, said that the PLTS project in Salumayang Hamlet, Kinatang Village, Bonehau District, Mamuju Regency was carried out by PT Priyaka Karya with a contract value of IDR 2.2 billion.

The PLTS project through the ESDM Office of West Sulawesi Province in 2018 is suspected to have caused state losses of Rp. 322 million.

From the disclosure, Sub-Directorate III of the Ditkrimsus Polda Sulbar has named two suspects, namely SP (49) as the provider and PG (57) as the technical activity implementing officer (PPTK).

"Sub-Directorate III of the Ditkrimsus Ditkrimsus Polda Sulbar also confiscated a number of documents as evidence," said Syamsu Ridwan as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, June 23.

The alleged corruption of the PLTS project was carried out with planning activities not actually being made. Where in the planning document it is explained that there are 36 residential units and one church. But in fact, in Saluma Hamlet there are only 12 housing units and one church that have been built.

"This is the origin of the process of implementing activities not carried out in accordance with the contracts and the RAB of activities so that based on the calculation of state losses there is a deviation that causes state losses of Rp. 322 million," explained Syamsu Ridwan.

The SP suspect as the provider, he continued, never even came and saw firsthand the implementation of the work but instead ordered someone who had nothing to do with work and did not have the qualifications for the electricity sector to carry out the work.

Meanwhile, the suspect PG, as PPTK, did not carry out his main duties and was found that there were uninhabitable houses measuring 2X2 meters and 2X3 meters that were installed with electrical installations that lacked volume and were not in accordance with the contract.

"From all these loopholes, PG as PPTK continues to compile reports at the end of the year the PLTS activity has been installed and completed," explained Syamsu Ridwan.
