SOLOK - The normalization project of the Batang Lembang River in the Nagari Koto Baru and Nagari Salayo areas, Kubung District, Solok Regency, West Sumatra Province, has been completed.

The river normalization project, which has been running since 2018, includes five points, four points in the Solok City area and one point in Solok Regency.

"After 2021 I became regent, then I proposed a proposal and it was supported by friends of Commission V DPR RI. Alhamdulillah, everything can be done at this time," said Epyardi in Solok, Antara, Friday, June 23.
Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission V Athari Gauthi Ardi visited Solok Regency on Thursday (22/6) saying that Batang Lembang normalization is proposed in 2021, but can only be implemented in 2022.
He said that in 2024 it would be proposed to normalize Batang Lembang in other parts.
Deputy Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Muhammad Iqbal hopes that river normalization can be carried out in other parts of West Sumatra which are prone to flooding.
"We have visited the Batang Lembang normalization area. Alhamdulillah, I am very happy because it has been supported by all other stakeholders, both from local governments and village governments," he said.
