A total of four ambulances were alerted at the peak of the Work of Pelebon (burning) Raja Denpasar IX from Puri Agung Denpasar Ida Tjokorda Ngurah Jambe Pemecutan, to anticipate people who need health services.

"We put the ambulance at four points on the procession route because there will be a lot of crowds," said Chairman of the Committee for the Work of Pelebon Raja Denpasar IX, Anak Agung Ngurah Gede Dharmayuda, in Denpasar, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, June 21.

The King of Denpasar IX died at the age of 80 on February 18, 2023, while the peak of the pelebon event was held this afternoon.

Pelebon, the late King of Denpasar IX, used the "main security" or highest level of ceremony known as the Pelebon Karya Nyebon, Ngesti Wedana's life. Layon (jenazah) will be raised to an 11-meter overlapping bade (body reservoir) as high as 22 meters.

"That is the most important level of ceremony that we take because he is indeed an abireka (proposed king). If he is not good enough, maybe the level of ceremony is lower and does not use an overlap bade (level) 11. However, it is enough to cover only 9," he said.

The convoy of bodies will walk from Puri Agung Denpasar on Jalan Veteran and then pass to the Catur Muka Statue at the zero point of Denpasar City then to Udayana Street and turn towards Hasanuddin Street and end up in Setra (buru) Badung on Jalan Imam Bonjol Denpasar.

"People please show enthusiasm in this procession because it is a very extraordinary experience that we cannot prohibit. But please take care of yourself, don't let things happen that are not desirable," he said.

In addition to alerting the ambulance, 120 pecalang (adat security officers) were deployed from Denpasar Traditional Village who would also secure a series of pelebon processions.

"Then there are also members of the Denpasar Police, the Transportation Service and Satpol PP have also been involved and the TNI is involved. So all of that will secure all activities," he said.

His party is preparing efforts to anticipate and reduce a number of related parties for the smooth running of the event so that unwanted things do not happen.

"If this can run smoothly, then of course it will be a matter of pride for the people of Denpasar, Balinese people, Indonesia and even the world because all will see a tradition that is thick with the essence of preserving this culture," he said.
