BeLITUNG - The Belitung Regency Government (Pemkab), Bangka Belitung Islands Province will soon pave the Nasik Strait road to the 3.18 kilometer long Pasir Panjang beach tourist destination.
Belitung Regent Sahani Saleh said the asphalting of the Nasik-Pasir Panjang Strait road was an effort to improve basic service infrastructure in the local area.
"This road asphalting is our step to support the progress of the Nasik Strait," he said in Tanjung Pandan, Antara, Friday, June 2.
Previously, the Nasik Strait had been designated by the government as the National Rural Priority Area (KPPN) as well as a pilot area for the development of the "Marine Agro Tourism" area.

According to him, the budget used in the construction work of the 3.18 kilometer long Nasik-Pasir Strait road is sourced from the Regional Road Presidential Instruction (Inpres) funds.
"The source of the funds is the Presidential Instruction of Rp. 10 billion, not to mention it, so we are very grateful to receive budget support from the central government," he said again.
According to him, the challenges faced in the asphalting work are because the work is in the archipelago.

"We have talked about this technicality with ASDP and will use ro-ro ships using a rental scheme, so that this can be more efficient and prices can be negotiated," he also said.
He hopes that all parties can support and cooperate with each other in supporting the asphalting work of the road.
"Because this is part of advancing the Nasik Strait, considering that previously the basic infrastructure, such as ports, electricity, clean water, we have built roads now and then health infrastructure," he said again.
