Director of the Papuan Traditional School, Orgenes Monim, said that the dozens of elementary schools had been used by his party to apply the Sentani regional language as part of local content subjects.

He explained that there are schools that do have special teachers for local content subjects but some have not so that his party will re-evaluate with schools which are pilot projects.
"This is just the first step to measure our ability to integrate regional languages into formal schools," he said.
He added that in the future his party will prepare special Sentani language teachers in existing formal schools in collaboration with the local Education Office.
"We hope that students can be introduced the basics of the Sentani language so that there is a sense of love for the area where students are," he concluded.
