COVID-19 Update As Of April 14: New Cases 1,017, Active Cases Increase To 8,259

JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Handling Task Force released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 16,926 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 1,017 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,755,600 people and active cases have increased to 8,259 cases," said COVID-19 Task Force data, Friday, April 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 463 people, bringing the total to 6,586,231 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 14 cases and a total of 161,110 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 486 cases and a total of 1,550,626 cases. Followed by West Java which has 176 new cases with a total of 1,240,588 cases. East Java has 122 new cases and a total of 640,083 cases. Banten has 86 new cases and a total of 368,228 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 282 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 76 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 45 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 21 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 116,155,630.

"Positive results per number of people examined or this week's positivity rate of 4.68 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 1,428 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently there are 203,828,285 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 174,864,236 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 68,697,932 and the fourth dose was 3,120,622. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 234,666,020 people.
