DEPOK - President Joko Widodo responded to a slight increase in the number of COVID-19 cases during the month of Ramadan this year, especially ahead of Lebaran homecoming music. This increase occurred after the pandemic conditions in Indonesia have been very sloping in recent months. According to Jokowi, although corona cases have increased, the number of daily cases and the percentage of positive cases have not exceeded the standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO). "Indeed, there is an increase, but we are still far below the WHO standard. The WHO standard is approximately 8 thousand (cases per day) and we are at 600-900 (day cases). I think we are still managed, well controlled," Jokowi said in Depok, Thursday, April 13. Based on the latest survey series or community immunity survey, the average immunity of Indonesia's population of the corona virus reached 98.5 percent. However, Jokowi emphasized that all residents should continue to undergo the COVID-19 vaccination for those who have not. "The most important thing, one, vaccination. That's important. Boosters are important. So, those that haven't been boosted immediately. The survey series we have, our immunity has reached 98.5 percent. That means it's very high. But also be careful those who haven't been vaccinated, especially those who haven't boosters. Immediately ask to be vaccinated so that all of our immunity is maintained from COVID," said Jokowi. As is known, the number of COVID-19 cases over the past few days has experienced an upward trend. On April 8, 420 cases, April 9 were recorded as many as 565 cases, April 10 as many as 494 cases, April 11 as many as 944 cases, and April 12 as many as 987 cases. Likewise, the percentage of positive cases from the number of specimens examined or the positivity rate also increased. Last week, the positivity rate in Indonesia was 3.85 percent. This week the figure rose to 4.68 percent.
