Sibak Police 3 Cases Of Methamphetamine In Temanggung, 3 Suspects Arrested, 2 Still At Large

The Temanggung Police revealed 3 cases of narcotics crime in the Bersinar Candi Operation which was held on March 9-28, 2023.

The Deputy Chief of the Temanggung Police, Kompol Minarto, said that of the three narcotics cases, the police arrested 3 suspects AW (44), FA (33) and MF (22). Meanwhile, the DPOs are still named David and JO.

He explained that the chronology of the first case with suspect AW, on March 9, 2023, members of the Temanggung Police Investigation Unit received information that AW would conduct a sale and purchase transaction of methamphetamine.

Then around 14.00 WIB secured AW in the alley next to the Temanggung Regency DPU Office for allegedly possessing and storing methamphetamine.

The results of a search of AW, officers found evidence in the pocket of two packs of crystal methamphetamine in a straw piece weighing 1.48 grams grossly.

He said suspect AW admitted that the illicit goods belonged to him, which belonged to someone who claimed to be David (DPO), the suspect bought crystal methamphetamine for his own use.

Transactions are carried out by means of communication via WhatsApp and then transferred money and methamphetamine taken somewhere.

Furthermore, the second case with the suspect FA (33) occurred on March 11, 2023, at 10.00 WIB in Ngadigunung Hamlet, Tuksari Village, Kledung District, officers confiscated evidence in the form of two packs of dirty 1.02 grams of crystal methamphetamine in pieces of straws.

The Deputy Chief of the Temanggung Police said that the suspect FA also got the item from David (DPO).

Minarto said the third case with the suspect MF was on March 17, 2023, at 21.00 WIB in Krajan Hamlet, Ngaren Village, Ngadirejo District, Temanggung Regency.

"The Temanggung Police Detective Unit officers arrested the suspect MF at his house for allegedly distributing methamphetamine," he said.

Officers confiscated evidence from the suspect, including seven plastic clips containing methamphetamine in pieces of straws with a gross weight of 3.53 grams.

The suspect admitted that he was ordered by someone who claimed to be named JO (DPO) to take 10 packages of crystal methamphetamine and then asked to put them in a number of addresses or places.

He conveyed that the suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (1), subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (1), Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of four years and a maximum of 12 years and a fine of at least Rp. 800 million and a maximum of Rp. 8 billion.
