JAKARTA - Prince's collaboration recording with Kylie Minogue in the early 1990s with the title 'Baby Doll', appeared suddenly on the internet, even though the recording had never been released, and even disappeared.

According to Billboard, the version of the new leaked song was uploaded via the New Paisley Generation YouTube channel on December 16, and features similar lyrics to those confirmed by Minogue in 2018.

According to the description of the post, "Baby Doll" is one of Prince's Vault's songs that is planned to be included in a project called Diamonds and Love in 2022. This release will include material that has not been released and recorded during the session for 1991's Diamonds and Pearls album and Love Symbol 1992.

The re-issuance of the deluxe version of the late Prince's Diamonds and Pearls was released in 2023, but only included material recorded before it was officially released in October 1991. In the end, 'Baby Doll' was not included in the project.

When this article was written, the leaked 'Baby Doll' disappeared from the New Paisley Generation YouTube channel.

Based on The Sun's report, a source explained that Kylie was confused by the sudden appearance of the song.

"Initially the song was given to him in cassette form in the nineties and since Prince's death in 2016, the song belongs to his heirs," the source said.

"Every leak is annoying, but it's fun for the fans, to finally find out what the mysterious song looks like, God knows they've been waiting for a long time.

Meanwhile, "Baby Doll" has been discussed at length by fans, with its origins being traced back to the Diamonds and Pearls Prince tour in Australia in April and May 1992. The song was recorded at Studio 301 Sydney during his visit there.

But in the end the song was never fully recorded in the studio because the Minogue label rejected the idea.
