One of the local companies that has succeeded in creating two-wheeled emission-free vehicles is the Studio Motor Electric Vehicle (SMEV), which has just released two of its newest models.
SMEV introduced two of its flagship models, namely EM-1 and EM-T, which offer impressive performance to meet the needs of users.
"SMEV is the result of a long research to face the challenges of the world of electrification that continues to grow. We designed, made, and produced electric vehicles that were adapted to the lifestyle and driving needs of each individual," Donny said in his official statement on Monday, July 24.
This clear evidence from the personalization approach can be seen from the manufacturer's invitation to consumers to participate in the motorcycle assembly process and adjust it to their respective driving styles.
"Donny added, "Starting from color choices, adjusting the ergonomics of seats and handlebars to improving performance that is integrated with technology."
SMEV EM-1 is designed as an electric motorcycle for urban use. Powered by an electric dynamo measuring 3,000 watts, this motor is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 105 km/hour.
EM-1 is equipped with a li-ion cell battery from LG powered by 72V40Ah, which allows this motor to cover a distance of up to 110 km per charge, suitable for everyday mobility.
Meanwhile, EM-T is an electric motorcycle specifically designed for use on the off-road lane. With a strong 4,000 watt dynamo, this motor is able to overcome hilly terrain with optimal torque.
To fulfill customer wishes, SMEV also provides electric kits for drivers who want maximum performance in EM-1 and EM-T.
However, since this motorbike is customized according to consumer preferences, the price is not cheap. SMEV offers these two models starting from IDR 75 million On The Road.

This price is indeed slightly higher than the Rakata MX8 which sold for around Rp. 54 million. However, the price of both is still more affordable than the Equatorial Nusa which reached Rp140 million.
