JAKARTA - The Cooperation Contract Contract Contractor (KKKS) of Pertamina EP Zone 7 which manages the upstream oil and gas working area in the West Java area plans to drill 19 oil wells throughout 2024.
Pertamina Senior Manager Production and Project EP Zone 7, Sakti Parsaulian said the entire well is planned to produce 1,203 barrels of oil per day and 14.58 million cubic meters of oil equivalent per day.
"The operation plan continues the performance of Pertamina EP Zone 7 throughout 2023," he said in a written statement, Thursday, February 29.
Sakti said, last year, the company, which is part of the Java Subholding Upstream Pertamina Region, had drilled 22 new wells, and repaired the condition of wells to maintain well production or to increase through workover work (rework on well layers) as much as 12 jobs, and 180 well interventions.
From the series of operations during 2023, Pertamina EP Zone 7 whose operations include PEP Field Jatibarang, PEP Field Subang, and PEP Field Tambun managed to lift 11,284 barrels of oil per day (BOPD).
"And 233.29 million Kubik Foot Standards per Day," he said.
He continued, all oil production products will later be sent to Pertamina refineries to be processed into fuel products and derivatives, while gas production is distributed to consumers in the West Java region to support electricity supply, fertilizer industry and for household gas networks.
To optimize gas sales so that many industries are absorbed, he said, Pertamina EP Zone 7 runs a project for the construction of CO2 Removal and Dehydration Units (DHU) at Karang Baru Collection Stations (SP) and SP Jatiasri to improve the quality of commercial gas.

On the other hand, efforts to prove hydrocarbon reserves continue to be explored. Last December, two exploration wells, namely East Akasia Cinta (EAC)-001 and East Pondok Aren Well (EPN)-001 were drilled in the Pertamina EP Zona working area and were proven to contain oil and gas potential during a production flow test.
These two wells will be further evaluated and proposed to the development stage or Put On Production (POP), so that the results can increase oil and gas production.
