JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road section on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

"By saying bismillahirrahmanirrahim this morning I inaugurate the Cileunyi Sumedang Dawuan (Cisumdawu) Toll Road in Sumedang Regency, West Java Province," said Jokowi at the Cisumdawu tunnel gate, Tuesday, July 11.

Jokowi explained that this toll road connects Bandung to Cipali through Cipularang and has been built since 2011 and costs IDR 18.3 trillion.

"The construction of the 61.6 km Cisumdawu Toll Road costs a budget of IDR 18.3 trillion. From the government it is IDR 9.07 trillion and the rest is from KPPU," Jokowi explained.

Furthermore, Jokowi explained, the development that took 12 years faced various problems in the field, including the issue of land acquisition.

He hopes that the operation of this toll road can facilitate connectivity to Kertajati Airport, which was originally completed in conjunction with the Cisumdawu Toll Road.

In addition, Jokowi continued, the completion of the Cisumdawu Toll Road is expected by Kertajati Airport to be fully operational in October.

"In the past, we did this together so that the toll road would become an airport together. But because of land acquisition matters, the airport has not finished its toll road, so it interferes with airport operations," Jokowi explained.
