JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) said that it would soon restore the function of the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran to its original state, after it was officially closed on Friday, March 31, 2023.
Later, the RSDC will be re-functionalized as flats (rusun).
"(The RSDC) has not yet started to be reshuffled. We are only returning it to its original condition after using it as an RSDC. Yesterday, the hospital, we returned it again as before, as a flat," said Director General of Housing Iwan Suprijanto at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 13.
Iwan said that his party was still waiting for the results of the BPKP audit regarding the use of the building, until now. "The BPKP is currently auditing," he said.
When the results of the BPKP audit have been completed, Iwan said, his party will immediately renovate the RSDC building to function as a flat and immediately return the building to the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg).
"Our obligation is to return it to its original condition, so that it will be submitted to the Ministry of State Secretariat which will be determined later by the president for what purpose," he added.
