JAKARTA - Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 1444 H (RAFI 2023), PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) predicts that data/broadband service traffic will grow by 11.2 percent.

This growth is estimated from the growth of public digital activity during RAFI 2023, such as access to social media services that jumped to 6.2 percent, communication services (instant messaging and video conferencing) around 20 percent, video streaming services grew 15.6 percent, mobile gaming services rose 32.4 percent, browsing access jumped 2.4 percent, and e-commerce service access increased seven percent.

Meanwhile, voice call service traffic is projected to decrease by 8.5 percent, and short message services (SMS) grow by around 7.1 percent.

President Director of Telkomsel Hendri Mulya Syam said that this year's Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr moments felt more and more meaningful in line with government policies that made it easier for people to move after the COVID-19 pandemic which had subsided.
