JAKARTA - The police arrested five people in the case of crude palm oil (CPO) belonging to PT AMS, a plantation company and producer of CPO in West Kutai, East Kalimantan, the police also confiscated 39 tons of CPO from a warehouse in Mencimai, southwest of Barong Tongkok.
"We also secured two fuso tank trucks carrying CPO used by the perpetrators of embezzling the company's CPO," said West Kutai Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP) Heri Rusyaman, Saturday, quoted by Antara.
As explained by the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of the Kubar Police, Adjunct Commissioner of Police (AKP) Asriadi Jafar, the perpetrators broke the original seal on the tap for CPO expenses in a tanker truck with a special key, and then by using a diesel pump installed behind the tank, removing a number of CPOs into a shelter in the Minister of Justice.
Considering that the evidence obtained reached 39 tons, it is believed that this action has been carried out by the perpetrators many times. This also raises suspicions from the company's audit team.
"They then made a report to us which we immediately followed up by conducting an investigation," said Police Chief Heri.
