"We have not decided on anything like that (revocational of the boarding school permit)," said Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD at the Vice Presidential Palace, Jakarta.
He admitted that the government had discussed the potential for revocation of permits. However, the results of the discussion did not reach the decision to revoke the permit.
The former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) also responded to a suggestion from the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil alias Kang Emil, who had encouraged Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School permits to be frozen.
Even so, the government looked further and thoroughly by not wanting the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School to have bad implications for other regions.
