Two Criminals Cancel Robbery Because They See The Victim Is Pregnant
The police arrested two men with the initials AH (29) and AM (39) on suspicion of theft and violence against a woman with the initials AD (20) on Jalan Terusan Bandengan, Pejaringan, North Jakarta, Monday, June 26, at 05.00 WIB.
The Head of the Pejaringan Police, Kompol Bobby Danuardi, said that their mode of becoming an online taxi driver was then looking for passengers to be victims.
"AH is unemployed and AM is an online taxi driver. The mode is, they take passengers for theft," Bobby told reporters, Monday, July 24.
Bobby also explained that the two perpetrators shared their duties to carry out their actions.
"AM gave the code first by saying the word Gas to AH who was waiting in the back seat of the car," he said.
When meeting potential victims in the Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) area, North Jakarta, one of the perpetrators refused the action because he saw the victim was pregnant.
"AM deliberately did not provide a code, because the victim was pregnant," he said.
Next, they returned to look for potential victims. Soon they found another passenger on Jalan Canal Bandengan, Pejaringan, with the aim of Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.

"In addition, it tied the victim's hand by using a shoe strap so that the victim could not fight back," he said.
The victim, who was helpless, was immediately used by the perpetrators by stealing AD's belongings. In addition, they also threatened the victim to kill him if he fought back.
After that the suspects took the victim's valuables. The car was again directed off the Tanjung Priok Port toll road and returned to Penjaringan. Then the suspect dropped the victim on the side of the road near the Pluit Permai gas station with his face covered with gloves and his hands tied," he continued.
The police, who received the information, immediately carried out an investigation until they finally arrested the perpetrator in less than 24 hours.
The two perpetrators have been named as suspects. They were charged with Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 12 years in prison.
