City Government Referrs To Residents Of Kolong To The Angke Toll Road To Be Willing To Move To Rusunawa
The West Jakarta City Government has taken a persuasive approach to residents under the Angke Toll Road regarding their efforts to move them to 52 simple rented flats (rusunawa) in the DKI Jakarta area.
"Our approach is in collaboration with Jelambar Baru Village and Grogol Petamburan District in an effort to provide a more decent life," said Hendra Hidayat, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 14.
He said that so that the implementation of the relocation of residents under the Angke Toll Road runs smoothly, it would first be coordinated with the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP.
"Well, later at the time of implementation we will tell the progress," he said.
Regarding the rental rate for flats, his party has asked the DKI Jakarta Housing Agency to provide relief for the first few months to inhabit.
"The amount of rent is the domain of the Housing Service (DKI Jakarta)," said Hidayat.
Hidayat said the relocation of residents under the Angke Toll Road was urgent because they, like other Jakarta residents, also have the right to live a decent and better life.
As an initial stage, we have made efforts so that the children under the Angke Toll Road can later carry out proper education.
"The children are also trying to have better education, legally schools, diplomas and so on. We have also coordinated with the Education Office (West Jakarta) so that they can go to school well," he said.
His party has carried out socialization and approach with residents under the Angke Toll Road regarding the plan to relocate the 52 Rusunawa.
"So basically we have socialized and approached the residents. We also realize who wants to live there, right. Maybe because there are difficulties in paying rent and so on, but what is certain is that we want to humanize them," he explained.
He said the next developments would be a joint meeting with the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP.
"Yesterday I coordinated with Kasatpol PP (DKI Jakarta). Maybe next week it will be met with the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP," said Hidayat.
Previously, the Head of the West Jakarta Region II Education Sub-dept. concurrently as the Head of the West Jakarta Region I Education Sub-dept., Junaedi said that his party had held a meeting about the fate of the school for street children who were standing wildly on the land owned by Jasa Marga (Angke Toll Road class).
"In the meeting, the DKI Provincial Government will discuss it. We have conveyed the results of the meeting to the Governor," he said when met at the West Jakarta Mayor's office on Friday (7/7).
In addition, his party also plans to write to the land owner (Jasa Marga) to discuss the fate of the street school (Sekolah Seringan) which stands under the Angke toll road.
"We will discuss together from various sides, social, economic, ideological sides. The social side is in terms of education. So this problem is indeed cross-sectoral handling," he said.
Junaedi said that so far the steps that have been taken by the Education Sub-dept. were met with residents and volunteers who initiated the sheep school. The meeting at the same time unites ideas and perceptions as well as risk mitigation measures.

"Yesterday we called, we have invited the school. And we have talked for us to do coaching so that with good cooperation we can serve the process in the future," Junaedi said when contacted by reporters on Thursday (20/6).
The risk mitigation begins with collecting data related to whether or not there (the Angke toll road class) is a school.
"When it is true that there is a school, the school is licensed or not, that's it. After we checked in the field, it turned out that the win was true that there was a school and it was not licensed. Then we invited it yesterday (Wednesday, 19/6), we chatted, yes, there was a process carried out by the volunteers and of course we directed the process to be better," he said.
He continued that the policy to be taken was a policy that was in synergy with other Regional Apparatus Work Units (UKPD) at the Mayor's level.
"Because it concerns the problem of housing under the Angke toll road as a whole," he said.
