Assets Of MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan, Threatened With Impoverishment Due To Involvement In Corruption

YOGYAKARTA - Hasbi Hasan, Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) inactive, was officially detained by the KPK for a bribery case handling cases in the Supreme Court worth Rp. 3 billion. Hasbi is threatened with being crushed in the aftermath of the corruption case. Hasbi Hasan's wealth in Supreme Court Secretary has also become a public conversation.

Hasbi Hasan is suspected of receiving Rp3 billion in cash when overseeing the handling of the cassation process related to the issue of the management of the Savings and Loans Cooperative (KSP). The KPK detained Hasbi for the purposes of investigation for the next 20 days.

"The amount received by HH (Hasbi Hasan) is around Rp. 3 billion," said Firli Bahuri, Chairman of the KPK at a press conference at the KPK's Red and White Building on Wednesday (12/7).

The KPK detained Hasbi Hasan for the first 20 days, from July 12 to July 31, 2023 at the KPK Detention Center. Along with the possibility of him being impoverished, the public is curious about the wealth of MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan.

Hasbi Hasan is recorded to have a total wealth of IDR 2,479,797,489, based on the latest State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) on the KPK's official website.

Hasbi Hasan's wealth report was given on April 30, 2020 for period 2019, while he was still the head of the Supreme Court's Center for Legal Research and Development.

Hasbi Hasan's assets come from several sources or assets, ranging from land and buildings, means of transportation and machinery, movable assets, as well as cash assets and cash equivalents.

Hasbi has land and building assets worth Rp6,887,100,000 located in Bekasi Regency/City. He got the assets with an area of 495 m2/334 m2 from grants without a deed.

Hasbi also has 3 units of transportation and machinery, namely 1 Toyota Fortuner in 2017 worth IDR 250 million, 1 Honda BR-V in 2016 worth IDR 150 million, and 1 Honda Y1602N02LOAIT in 2015 worth IDR 5 million.

Hasbi is also noted to have other movable assets worth IDR 78,500,000, and does not have securities.

Hasbi Hasan's cash and cash equivalents amounted to Rp275,937,489.
