Hyundai Officially Launches Toyota Raize's Rival Exter At Low Prices

JAKARTA - A vehicle manufacturer from South Korea, Hyundai, officially launched an SUV categorized as an entry-level with a fairly compact size, Exter, for the Indian market.

Through Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), it has a pretty tiny design for SUV size. However, Exter is offered with the latest features, a relieved interior, and reliable capabilities to meet consumer mobility needs.

HMIL CEO, Unsoo Kim, said the launch of Exter further strengthens Hyundai's image of creating unique car designs and innovative technologies with attractive features.

"We believe that the Hyundai EXTER will exceed our customers' expectations and reaffirm Hyundai's position as India's leading intelligent mobility solution provider," Kim said in his official statement, Monday, July 10.

Just like its leaked pre-production version to the public, the Hyundai Exter has a small design. On the front, the vehicle is equipped with a separate LED and intake forward light on the bumper. Meanwhile, on the back, the rear light slightly resembles Audi Q2 and the black panel connects the rear glass with the side window.

Carrying the philosophy of "Sensulous Sportiness", Exter is presented with a fairly dynamic design on the side to the back reflecting the future of an SUV for beginners.

The SUV is presented with the latest interior features with the presence of a 4.2-inch digital cluster instrument and a colorful TFT Multi Information display, wireless device charging, Cruise Control, Multi Drive Information, Door Open Information, and others.

To provide a sense of security to consumers, Hyundai Exter is equipped with security or safety systems, such as Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Assist Control, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Rear View Monitor Drivers, and 6 airbags.

The rivals of Toyota Raize are offered with three engine options, namely 1.2 liters of Kappa Manual, 1.2 liters of Kappa Automatic, and 1.2 liters of bi-fuel with manual transmission.

For initial options, Exter equipped with a 1.2 liter Kappa Manual engine can emit up to 81 dk of power as well as 113 Nm of torque, the same power is also owned by automatic transmission.

However, if the user wants to have a car with a high level of efficiency, then the option of 1.2 liters of bi-fuel is the answer. With a power of 67 dk and a torque of 95 Nm, with a fuel efficiency of 27.1 km/kg.

Hyundai Exter is priced from 5.99.900 Indian rupees or Rp. 110.3 million for the EX variant. As for the highest variant, SX (O) Connect, priced at 9.99.990 Indian rupees or equivalent to Rp. 183.7 million.
