3 People Dragged By The Waves Of The Panjang Malang Bridge Beach, Drones Used To Help Search

The search for three tourists from five victims who were swept away by the waves on Panjang Bridge Beach, Bantar District, Malang Regency, East Java, used drones or drones.

Malang Regent M Sanusi said the search process for three victims who were dragged by the waves on Jembatan Panjang Beach was still being carried out. Previously, two of the five victims who were dragged by the waves had been found safe.

"Today the search is still ongoing and is now also using drones," Sanusi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 10.

Sanusi explained, based on information received from the joint team that conducted the search effort since Saturday (8/7), at Kondang Merak Beach, there was a floating figure from the capture of aerial photos on Monday (10/7).

The joint team personnel who conducted the search, he continued, had pursued the whereabouts of the floating figure, the results of monitoring using drones at around 08.00 WIB. However, the figure was lost again by the waves..

"Earlier on Kondang Merak Beach, it was seen that someone was floating from an aerial photo catch from a drone camera, using 2-3 drones. They were chased but disappeared again because they were carried away by the waves," he said.

Until now, the joint team is still monitoring and searching for three other victims who have yet to be found. One of the three victims who were dragged by the waves was a woman Swiss citizen with the initials JOS.

"The team is also still standardly observing at the Merak famous. Later we will continue to coordinate because this concerns all parties. The SAR team will also move to provide assistance," he said.

On the other hand, related to evaluation steps, the Malang Regency Government will provide guidance to existing guides or guides. In addition, he also assessed that there needed to be officers conducting surveillance on the beach.

"Ideally, there must be officers who continue to supervise for visitors. An early warning must exist that when the waves are dangerous. Regarding the evaluation of this incident, we will close it in the Forkompinda ranks," he said.

Previously, as many as five tourists were reported to have been dragged by the waves on Panjang Bridge Beach, on Saturday (8/7) at approximately 08.00 WIB. Two of the five people who were dragged by the waves were foreigners with female gender.

The incident began when the two foreigners had difficulty pulling over while swimming on the Panjang Bridge Beach. Three Indonesian citizens who are tour guides namely M, B and Pendik or M Ruspandi are trying to help the two foreigners.

However, at the time it was going to help the two foreigners, a big wave hit them and in the end the five people were dragged into the middle of the sea. Two of the five victims were found safe, namely Pendik on Saturday (8/7) night and Ana Ramirez from Spain on Sunday (9/7).
