Bengkulu City Government Increases The Budget For The 'Former Term' Program To IDR 1.5 Billion
BENGKULU - The Bengkulu City Government increased the budget of Rp. 1 billion to support the independent diploma program in the region, which was previously Rp. 500 million to Rp. 1.5 billion.
The independent diploma program is not only for Elementary School (SD), Junior High School (SMP), High School (SMA) but also for universities.
"Not only at the high school level, but from elementary, junior high, high school, equivalent vocational schools to college diplomas, the Mayor of Bengkulu will assist," said Bengkulu Mayor Helmi Hasan as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, July 1.
He said, for people whose diplomas were detained by the school because they were constrained by costs, they could directly contact themselves via social media such as TikTok, or directly send messages via WhatsApp.
Previously, the diploma independent program was carried out to help students who faced obstacles in licensing diplomas and ensure that every student had full access to their diplomas.
"It is not permissible for people and children such as education to be detained because education is the responsibility of the state," said Deputy Mayor of Bengkulu, Dedy Wahyudi.
