D+2 Eid Al-Adha, Bakauheni-Merak Crossing Activities Increase
JAKARTA - D+2 Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriyah, Bakauheni Lampung port activity to Merak has increased from the previous day.
General Manager of PT ASDP Feri Indonesia Bakauheni branch Rudi Sunarko in Bakauheni, South Lampung said the number of passengers crossing to Merak Port on D+2 was 40,903 people or an increase from the previous day, Friday, June 30, was 26,762 people.
He said that the number of passengers was divided into two parts, namely pedestrians and in vehicles.
"For pedestrian passengers traveling to Merak Port, Banten, there were 3,132 passengers and 37,771 passengers in the vehicle," he said, quoting Antara.
Based on data from the Eid al-Adha 2023 Transportation Post at Bakauheni Port on Friday (30/6) 2023 at 08.00 WIB until Saturday (1/7) at 08.00 WIB, the number of passengers heading to Java continues to increase.
He added, the number of vehicles crossing from Sumatra to Java Island was 9,290 units. That number also increased from one day ago where only 6,589 units.
He explained that the passengers of the vehicles were divided into four vehicles, namely two-wheeled, four-wheeled, buses and large vehicle trucks.

"For the number of passengers using two-wheeled vehicles as many as 1,607 units, four-wheeled 5,112 units, 304 buses, and large vehicle trucks 2,267 units," he said.
His party appealed to crossing service users to be able to buy Ferizy tickets from far away.
"So we appeal to prospective travelers from Java to Sumatra and vice versa who will use ASDP crossing services to buy tickets from far away," said Rudi Sunarko.
