Gunungkidul Cultural Park Damaged Due to the Yogyakarta Earthquake
JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency for Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, reported that there was damage to the Cultural Park and that residents' houses were damaged by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 on Friday, 30 June 2023, around 19:57 WIB.
A member of the Gunungkidul Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Rapid Reaction Team (TRC) Ahmad Riyadi in Gunungkidul, Saturday, said that based on information and reports that came to the BPBD, namely the Gunungkidul Cultural Park, the Education Office, Argosari Market, the BDG Office, Rusunawa, Gunungkidul Police and several Residents' houses suffered light to heavy damage.
"Currently, we are still waiting for reports from the quick response teams in their respective regions," said Ahmad Riyadi, quoting Antara.
In addition to buildings and cultural parks that were damaged, several houses belonging to residents were damaged, namely in Semanu, Rongkop, Nglipar, Panggang which were lightly and badly damaged.
"Data collection is still ongoing. The team will assess the level of damage to residents' houses," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Emergency and Logistics Section of BPBD Gunungkidul Sumadi said TRC Gunungkidul was ready to receive reports from various parties regarding damage caused by the earthquake.
Currently, officers are starting to check the field to determine the exact condition of the damage. The information that was successfully received was that several residents' houses had roof tiles falling, and several public and government facilities were also damaged.
"TRC is ready to receive reports and will follow up if it needs to be addressed immediately," he said.
