This Is The Reason Airlangga Hartarto Did Not Attend The Golkar Party's Eid Prayers
JAKARTA - The implementation of Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri/2023 AD prayers at the Golkar Party DPP Office Complex, Jakarta, was carried out without the presence of General Chair Airlangga Hartarto, Thursday.
Airlangga has been scheduled to perform Eid al-Adha prayers with hundreds of party cadres and residents around the office. However, he canceled the id prayer at the Golkar DPP, and was reportedly in Jogyakarta.
"Yes, after that he went straight to Australia, to prepare for President Joko Widodo's visit," said Secretary General of the Golkar Party, Lodewijk F Paulus, after the Eid prayer.
According to the deputy chairman of the DPR, as Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga must prepare and check the initial preparations, ahead of the president's visit.
After the Eid prayer, the Secretary General of Golkar together with a number of party elites also symbolically handed over sacrificial animals in the form of cows, to representatives of Islamic organizations and the community around the office.
Meanwhile, General Chairperson of the Golkar Party's Ulama Work Unit (Satkar) Idris Laena said a total of 312 cows and 116 goats were distributed throughout Indonesia.
As many as 30 sacrificial cows were distributed through the Golkar DPP, of which 8 were handed over directly to representatives of Islamic organizations and 22 cows were slaughtered at slaughterhouses (RPH).
Airlangga and Paulus distribute one sacrificial cow each weighing more than one ton.
