Padang Arafah Begins To Be Crowded With Pilgrims Candidates For Hajj
JAKARTA - Pilgrims from all over the world started crowding Padang Arafah in Saudi Arabia, to undergo a series of peaks of the pilgrimage, which began with the wukuf ritual in Arafah on Tuesday, 9 Dzulhijjah 1444 H or 27 June 2023.
Based on ANTARA's monitoring in Padang Arafah, Tuesday, June 27, the Hajj candidates crowded the open and wide area east of Mecca and the number is estimated at hundreds of thousands.
The congregation members walked while singing Talbiyah "Good job Allahumma lab good. Labbaik laa syarika laka lab baik. Innal hamda wan ni'mata laka wal mulk laa syarika lak."
The sentence brings the meaning "I fulfill Your call, O Allah, I fulfill Your call. There is no ally to You, I fulfill Your call. Indeed, all praise, blessings and kingdoms for You. There is no ally for You."
Many members of the pilgrims who are prospective for Hajj take shelter from the sun in emergency tents while waiting for the implementation of wukuf.
A number of ambulances were seen being placed at several points in Padang Arafah. Several helicopters also passed over the Namirah Mosque to monitor the movement of pilgrims for Hajj.
Wukuf has been carried out since the sun had slipped or shifted from noon (12:00 a.m.) until the time of Maghrib.
