2 Police In Ambon Arrested For Rape Case
AMBON - Maluku Regional Police (Polda) arrested two police officers from Bripka SN and Briptu RS, related to the alleged rape of a female MS (39) at a hotel in Ambon City, on Monday (19/6).
"Mr. Maluku Police Chief has ordered that the two perpetrators be immediately processed in the general court. If proven, both of them will be fired from the police," said Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Police, Kombes M. Roem Ohoirat, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 20.
Apart from being raped by the two police officers, the 39-year-old woman was also abused by SN, after learning that the victim had reported their actions to other police officers.
Ohoirat said the incident began when SN contacted the victim via his cell phone to invite the victim to consume alcohol at the hotel where the case occurred (TKP).
At the location the victim was then raped by the two perpetrators, and also abused by the perpetrator SN. The victim tried to escape from that place.
After successfully escaping from the hotel, the victim MS, who did not accept the perpetrator's actions, immediately went to the police station to report the actions of the two police officers.
"The two perpetrators have now been secured by the Maluku Police Propam. The Regional Police Chief has ordered that they be protected and given maximum health and psychological services to the victims," said Ohoirat.
