Ariani's Daughter Becomes Intellectual Property Ambassador 2023
Jakarta Putri Ariani shook the world through the America's Got Talent (AGT) international talent search event. For this achievement, the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H. Laoly appointed this teenager from Bantul as the 2023 Intellectual Property Ambassador.
Putri will partner with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to promote the importance of protecting and utilizing intellectual property (KI) in the community, especially young people.
"Hopefully, Ananda Putri can promote, socialize, and educate Intellectual Property so as to inspire the nation's children to be motivated to develop talent, continue to work using intellectual property, empower creativity positively, and try to be competitive and achieve it sportsmanship," Yasonna said in a statement received by the editor.
Appearing stunning by performing his own song, Loneliness, Putri's teenager received a golden buzzer from one of the AGT judges, Simon Cowell, who confirmed that she appeared straight to the final round.
For this reason, Yasonna also conferred a certificate and a copyright recording letter for the two songs of Putri, entitled Loneliness earlier and Permata Indah Dunia.
"This recording letter is important because it is initial evidence of work ownership so that if there is a dispute one day, the legal document is clear that these two songs belong to Putri. The protection of copyright itself is actually declarative, namely automatic, as soon as the work is published," explained Yasonna who was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Andap Budhi Revianto.
Yasonna also added that the collection of royalties for songwriters and song/music performers already has rules and systems through the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN).

He encouraged LMKN to continue to expand and strengthen cooperation with musicians both at the central and regional levels in Indonesia so that the collection and distribution of royalties in Indonesia could provide well-being to musicians.
Meanwhile, Director General of Intellectual Property Min Usihen hopes that Putri will be an inspiration.
"By making Putri Ariani as the 2023 Intellectual Property Ambassador who has a love for the music world and is able to sing and play musical instruments to create songs in a short period of time, this can inspire all Indonesian people to provide intellectual property protection through DJKI," he concluded.
