The Attorney General's Office Names Muhammad Yusrizki As A Corruption Suspect For BTS Kominfo

The Attorney General's Office has named Muhammad Yusrizki as a new suspect in the case of alleged corruption in the provision of Village Tranceiver Station (BTS) infrastructure and supporting infrastructure for the 2020-2022 period.

Muhammad Yusrizki is the Chairman of the Renewable Energy Standing Committee of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). He was named the eighth suspect in a case that cost the state finances Rp8.32 trillion.

Director of Investigation (Dirdik) Jampidsus Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia Kuntadi said Muhammad Yusrizki was named a suspect in connection with his position as Director of Main Base Prima.

Kuntadi explained that investigators first summoned Muhammad Yusrizki as the Main Director of the BUP as a witness.

Yusrizki as the President Director of PT BUP was appointed to provide solar panels for the system in the procurement of the package 1 to 5 BTS 4G Bakti Kominfo infrastructure project.

"After intensive examination, investigators have found sufficient evidence, so that today we raise the status of the person concerned as a suspect," said Kuntadi.

Yusrizki has been questioned several times as an official in a private company engaged in the provision of goods that are suspected of helping supply subcontractors for the BTS Kominfo project.

Previously, in this case, seven people had been named as suspects, namely Anang Achmad Latif (AAL) as President Director of BAKTI Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Gapok Menak (GMS) as President Director of PT Mora Telematika Indonesia, Yohan Suryanto (YS) as an expert on Human Development (HUDEEV) University of Indonesia in 2020, Mukti Ali (MA) a suspect from PT Huwaei Technology Investment and Irwan Hermawan (IH) as Commissioner of PT Solitchmedia Synergy.

Then, the former Minister of Communication and Information (Menkoinfo) Johnny G Plate and Windi Purnama, as confidants of the suspect Irwan Hermawan (IH).

Six of the seven suspects have been transferred to the case files of the suspect and evidence to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the South Jakarta District Attorney, namely AAL, GMS, YS, MA, IH, and Johnny G Plate. The six cases will soon be tried. Meanwhile, the suspect Windi Purnama is still in process.
