Pangkas Perjalanan Dinas Cs, Sri Mulyani Janjikan Efisiensi Rp2,1 Triliun Di Kemenkeu
Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani said the Ministry of Finance is targeting budget efficiency of up to IDR 2.1 trillion for the 2024 period. According to him, these efforts will be carried out through the implementation of new work patterns.
"With various organizational steps and bureaucratic improvements, we are able to make budget efficiency of up to Rp2.1 trillion through a new work pattern. This is from starting to control official travel spending, payment of centralized employee spending, implementation of shared workspace, and also consolidation of laptop procurement through e-Catalog, and digitization of business processes," he said at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta on Monday, June 12.
The Minister of Finance explained that from 2019 to 2023 the trend of spending from the bureaucracy at the Ministry of Finance actually decreased when the total expenditure budget exploded high due to the pandemic.
"If we look at the bureaucracy at the Ministry of Finance, we continue to try to make it efficient, including when we have to host various international events that are one-time like the G20 and various ad-hoc teams such as the BLBI Task Force which also in this case requires budget support," he said.

It is stated that budget savings are also pursued through collaboration between units in the form of the use of infrastructure that is more optimal and can be shared. The Minister of Finance said this provides more inclusiveness of togetherness and efficiency. In addition, the negative growth policy of the Ministry of Finance's human resources over the past five years has also contributed to the financing of the budget.
"This is because we anticipate with technology support and the role of new ways of working, we are more concerned with quality and competence than the number", he said.
The Minister of Finance added that his party would remain committed to encouraging the National Priority Program. He said, there were 26 National Priority Projects with a budget of IDR 4.9 trillion, such as the implementation and completion of the core tax system development and support for IKN development.
"The Ministry of Finance also supports 76 Superior Projects, including in this case various superior projects, namely derivatives of various strategic laws such as the P2SK Law and the HKPD Law," he concluded.
