Earthquake 3.5 Magnitude Guncang Cianjur, Residents Scattered Out Of Their Houses
Residents in a number of areas in Cianjur, West Java, were again shocked by the centralized 3.5 magnitude earthquake in Cugenang District, so that residents scattered out of their homes, Sunday, June 11, 2023. A fairly strong earthquake was felt by residents in most areas north and the city of Cianjur at around 11.15 WIB, making residents who were active inside the house scatter out of their homes to save themselves because most of them were still traumatized by an earthquake of 5.6 magnitudes. The earthquake that had occurred for several seconds made residents choose to stay outside their homes for fear of aftershocks. "It was fast enough that after not feeling a big earthquake for the last 5 months. About four seconds the earthquake was felt large enough and we ran out of the house," said Nagrak Village resident Gina Rohmawati, quoted by Antara. The same thing was also revealed by residents in Sarampad Village, Cugenang District, Morsalyang said, residents who had returned home were surprised by a strong earthquake again so that they rushed out of the house again to avoid unwanted things. "About 6 houses suffered damage ranging from cracks and broken glass. It is certain that trauma because residents were still reminded of the 5.6 magnitude earthquake last November which left sorrow," he said.
