KPK Believes Supreme Court Secretary Hasbi Hasan Will Not Escape, Monitoring Continues

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) believes that Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Hasbi Hasan will not run away. Monitoring continues to be carried out on suspects suspected of bribery in case management.

"We will of course continue to monitor the presence of the parties," Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur told reporters, Monday, June 5.

"There are places that we will monitor. For example, in immigration, right," he continued.

In addition, it is believed that Hasbi will not be able to escape anywhere. Moreover, he has been prevented from leaving the country.

"We have taken precautions. By doing this (way, ed), it is our effort," he said.

MA Secretary Hasbi Hasan was still able to breathe fresh air after being questioned as a suspect on Wednesday, May 24. He was not wearing an orange vest and was handcuffed.

Regarding this decision, the KPK believes that Hasbi will remain cooperative. This belief arose because Hasbi Hasan fulfilled the summons as a suspect

"The person concerned (Hasbi Hasan, ed) answered (the call, ed) meaning that there are still no worries about running away," said KPK Deputy Chair Nurul Ghufron to reporters, Wednesday night, May 24.

Ghufron emphasized that Hasbi would be detained if investigators were worried that he would commit an unlawful act such as running away, eliminating evidence, and committing similar acts. "If the suspect has no concern, the investigators do not need detention," he said.
