AP I Serves 985,000 Passengers During The Long Holiday

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) or AP I recorded as many as 985,254 passenger movements and 8,075 aircraft movements served by 15 airports during the period May 31-4 June 2023 to coincide on weekends.

"We are grateful that yesterday's long holiday contributed quite high air transportation traffic at 15 AP I airports. We have served almost 1 million passengers during that five-day period. The average daily growth has also increased during that period," said AP I President Director Faik Fahmi as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 5.

During the five-day period, AP I reported that the daily average number of passengers reached 197,051 movements or 4 percent higher than the daily average for the previous five-day period (26-30 May) reached 188,997 passenger movements.

"On a long weekend yesterday, we also recorded one important and historic event, namely the inaugural landing of the largest commercial aircraft in the world Airbus A380-800 at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport," said Faik.

He said the super jumbo jet belonging to the Emirates airline, which serves regular commercial flights on the Dubai-Bali-Dubai route, is projected to further increase passenger traffic on international routes in Bali.

Meanwhile, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport serves the highest traffic between 15 Angkasa Pura I airports, with a total of 323,948 passenger movements. The details are 158,907 passengers on domestic routes, and 165,041 passengers on international routes.

Juanda Airport Surabaya ranks second, with a total of 193,322 passenger movements. The details are 166,358 passengers on domestic routes, and 26,964 passengers on international routes.

Meanwhile, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport Makassar is in third place with a total of 138,057 passenger movements. The details are 134,573 passengers on domestic routes, and 1,032 passengers on international routes.

AP I saat ini mengelola 15 airport di wilayah tengah dan timur Indonesia, yaitu Bandara I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali, Bandara Juanda Surabaya, Bandara Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar, Bandara Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Balikpapan, Bandara Frans Kaisiepo Biak, Bandara Sam Ratulangi Manado, Bandara Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin.

Then, Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, Adisutjipto Airport Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta International Airport in Kulon Progo, Adi Soemarmo Airport Surakarta, Lombok Praya International Airport, Pattimura Airport Ambon, El Tari Kupang Airport, and Sentani Jayapura Airport.
