2019 Election Gets 3 Seats In Semarang DPRD, Golkar Targets To Increase 100 Percent By 2024

The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Semarang City Golkar Party is targeting the acquisition of six seats in the Semarang City DPRD in the 2024 General Election.

"Our target is one seat in each electoral district (election area). There are six electoral districts in Semarang City, which means six seats," said Head of the Semarang City Golkar Party DPD Erry Sadewo, in Semarang, Central Java (Central Java), Friday, June 2, as reported by Antara.

The target, he continued, was up 100 percent from the acquisition of the Semarang City Golkar seat in the previous election which only placed three representatives in the local DPRD.

According to him, various steps have been taken to meet these targets, including through the Coordination Meeting of Golkar Party Cadres Semarang City on May 30, 2023.

The main goal of consolidation, he said, is to emphasize all cadres and candidates for legislative members (readleg) of the Semarang City Golkar Party towards political contestation in the 2024 General Election.

"That way, cadres to baulaleg need to provide information about the challenges and maneuvers that will be faced later," said its members.

According to him, briefing and coaching are very important in baulaleg's participation in the 2024 General Election by continuing to emphasize opportunities to hard work in winning seats.

"Consolidation is of course based on the direction of the leadership, both the Central Java Golkar Party DPD and the DPP. We are optimistic that there is a chance that one faction can," he said.

So far, the Semarang City Golkar Party has joined the NasDem Party in the faction in the Semarang City DPRD so that in the future it is optimistic that it will return to its own faction.

In terms of filing a Bahaleg verification to the General Election Commission of Semarang City, he said it was 100 percent valid so that consolidation was one of the factors that had to continue to be intensified.

"All files have been completed 100 percent, so the readiness of cadres must be optimal. This baulaleg cadre must be ready and mature towards the target seat," he said.

Erry said there would be several other activities in gaining seat targets and finalizing a strategy for an absolute victory in Semarang City.

"Because the hope is that the target of six electoral districts can be met. For that, synergy is needed with the cadres," he said.

He hopes that the survey results that put the Golkar Party in the top three positions of political parties in Semarang City can be part of encouraging cadres.

"Despite the survey results, we are still under the PDIP and the Gerindra Party. Hopefully it will be a real step and the enthusiasm of the cadres, especially making the people of Semarang City more prosperous," he concluded.
