More Intimate, Extreme Releases New Single Other Side Of The Rainbow
JAKARTA - The multi-platinum Extreme hard rock icon released Other Side of the Rainbow, the fourth single from album Six to be released on June 9 via earMUSIC.
Other Side of the Rainbow shows off the sexier side of Extreme in previous single-single tones, such as More Than Words, Hole Hearted, and Seven Sundays.
This song is one of Extreme's most touching trips, bringing listeners to the bottom of human hearts.
"Sekali, kami akan memanfaatkan semacam magic, dan saya pikir kami melakukannya untuk yang ini," kata frontman Gary Cherone dikutip dari Blabermouth.
"This is a universal theme. It's about restoring someone's trust in love... we feel this is the perfect combination between lyrics and melodies."
Citing Brian May, Eddie Van Halen, and Neil Schon as special influences, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt asked, "How do you play such an amazing solo, making it feel like a rainbow?"
He then shared, "This is a groove we've never done acoustically. There's my favorite guitar solo, it's a song that moves at a fast tempo."
"Whatever you think about the album Extreme after listening to two or even three songs, it's not," said Bettencourt.

"This applies to every album we've ever made. True Extreme fans know 'expected an unexpected one.' I feel we need a good old rock album. Six are really modern, but you can wear headphones and travel from top to bottom. It's like 'EXTREME 2.0'."
On Six, Extreme swing between a very introspective fried hard rock and a ballad. For the recording of the 12 song albums produced by Bettencourt, the members of Cherone (vocals), Bettencourt (guitar), Pat Badminton (bass), and Kevin Figueiredo (drums) worked hard in the studio of Bettencourt's home in Los Angeles to channel shocking eklecticism that determined the outcome of their manifold with a touch of the 21st century.
