Residents Of Ambon City ID Cards Have The Right To Compensation Of Death, Disdukcapil: Payments Gradually
The Acting Head of the Ambon City Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil), Hanny Tam, stated that the payment of compensation for the city residents was carried out in stages.
"The disbursement of funeral compensation must be accompanied by proof of document completion to be attached to the finance department, after which it can only be disbursed in other compensation processes," he said in Ambon, Maluku, Friday, May 19, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said that death compensation is a program of the Ambon City Government to improve the quality of public services with the aim of reducing the financial burden of the bereaved family, as well as being used to regulate population administration.
"Compensation for death is very much needed by the community, especially from poor circles for funeral expenses and as mourning money for families," he said.
Hanny admitted that the disbursement of grief compensation applies a queue number system, so that when managing in May, it means receiving in June.
Disbursement of funeral compensation was also given during the release of the body at the funeral home, because family members who came took care of administrative data to the office.
"In principle, the City Government does not run out of money, and does not slow down disbursement, but all through established procedures," he said.

Hanny added that residents of the city who are entitled to death compensation must have an identity card (KTP) for Ambon City.
This policy is implemented so that city residents who do not have ID cards can carry out population administration at the Disdukcapil Office.
"Until now, there are still many residents who do not have an Ambon City ID card, so we carry out policies like this so that in the future population administration, both ID cards and family cards can be taken care of by city residents," he said.
