Closing The Cambodian SEA Games 2023: Indonesia Only Represented By Kriket Athletes
JAKARTA The 2023 SEA Games multi-pronged sporting event is officially closed. Athletes from cricket also became representatives of Indonesia in the contingent parade participating in the closing ceremony for the biennial event.
The closing of the XXXII/2023 SEA Games took place at the Morodok Techo National Stadium, Phnom Penh, Wednesday, May 17 evening. The number of athletes in the defile at this closing event was far less than at the opening.
This is considering that the majority of Indonesian athletes and other contingents have returned home. Apart from cricket athletes, it was also seen that the Chef de Mission (CdM) team participated in the parade.
The mention of the contingent in the closing ceremony was seriesed with the 2023 SEA Games medal standings.
Vietnam became the first to collect 355 medals with details of 136 gold, 105 silver, and 114 bronze. Following that was Thailand which returned with 108 gold, 96 silver, and 108 bronze.
In third place are Indonesia which brought home 87 gold, 80 silver, and 109 bronze. Host Cambodia is in fourth place after collecting 81 gold, 74 silver, and 109 bronze. Followed by other countries such as the Philippines with 58 gold, 86 silver, 116 bronze. Singapore returned with 51 gold, 42 silver, and 64 bronze.

The closing ceremony of the 2023 SEA Games begins with musical performances. Then the host performed the action of the original Cambodian martial arts actor, the Bobotator kun.
After that, representatives from 11 participating countries held a parade with volunteers, other events featured videos showing athletes' struggles while competing in the biggest sporting event in Southeast Asia with the 32nd edition accompanied by songs that use Cambodian.
