Having Passed The 2024 General Election, The Garuda Party Has Not Even Registered Candidates In West Sumatra, Batam To Samarinda
JAKARTA - The Garuda Party did not register candidates for DPRD candidates in a number of regions even though it had passed the 2024 election participants. Garuda did not register candidates for legislative members in West Sumatra, Samarinda to Batam.
Reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 15, West Sumatra KPU chairman Yanuk Sri Mulyani said that until the closing of the registration period at 23.59 WIB, Sunday, May 14, the Garuda Party did not register with the West Sumatra KPU.
"We have always reminded the party participating in the election that the closing of registration was carried out on Sunday (14/5) at 23.59 WIB, but it didn't come either," he said.
According to him, the Garuda Party until the closing period did not communicate with the West Sumatra KPU regarding their registration process and they certainly would not participate in the legislative election (Pileg) for the West Sumatra DPRD.
"The status of the Garuda Party did not register, they did not provide files or documents to the West Sumatra KPU," he said. Garuda Party also did not register a candidate at the KPU Samarinda City, East Kalimantan.
Ketua KPU Kota Samarinda, Firman Hidayat, mengungkapkan partai yang belum menyerahkan berkas pendaftaran tersebut yakni Partai Garuda. "Hingga pukul 23.59 wita kami telah menerima berkas pendaftaran 17 Partai Politik," kata Firman Hidayat.
Likewise in Batam. Until the deadline for registration on Sunday (14/5) at 23.59 WIB, the Garuda Party did not participate in registering candidates for legislative candidates (caleg) to participate in the 2024 election.
"The party that did not register was the Garuda Party, until now, we closed the registration did not come to the KPU," said Batam City KPU Chairman Martius.
With the absence of the Garuda Party at the KPU, it is confirmed that the party will not carry the candidate for members of the Batam City DPRD in the 2024 General Election.
