This Is The Function Of Letter B In The Daihatsu All New Ayla Transmission
JAKARTA - Some time ago, Daihatsu launched the latest generation from Ayla, All-New Ayla which offers some refreshments to this unit.
In addition to appearing more sporting and having its interior updated, Daihatsu also presents the latest transmission system for the All-New Ayla.
In general, automatic transmission consists of letters P, N, D, S, L or an additional number 1 or 2. However, different from the others, the transmission to All-New Ayla presents letter B.
According to Anjar Rosjadi, as R&D Product Planning Division Head of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, said that letter B on LCGC transmission replaces the letter L. Which means, the use of letter B on this transmission has the same function as L, which is to hold the car while in derivative.
"So it actually has the same function, either B or L. Its function is when we are in derivatives, so it can hold back. B means Brake in transmission terms. The steepest derivative using B is safer, and the car is effective. does not slide freely," said Anjar quoted from ANTARA.
In addition, letter B also serves as easing the workload on the brakes. While crossing a derivative road, the transmission is transferred to letter B which makes the vehicle slightly resistant unlike the use to D mode.
If the transmission of letter B or L works when passing derivatives, then it is different from the letter S. Letter S on All-New Ayla means "Sloop", which works when the car is traveling on the incline.
Even though it has been run with the latest transmission features, the ability of drivers on the road to climb or descend is still needed by stepping on the brakes.
"If the position of B is later the computer will be arranged, the D-CVT will still wear a belt, basically he can hold it when invited to go down. If S or Sloop is effective for incline to be more responsive," Anjar added.
All-New Ayla has a Dual Mode Continuously Variable Transmission (D-CVT) transmission system that makes cars have smooth acceleration capabilities and efficient use of fuel.
