Victims Of Sexual Violence Accommodated At Employee Houses, DP2PAKB Hopes For The Presence Of A Shelter Room In Biak
PAPUA - Biak Numfor in Papua requires the presence of a safe halfway house for women and street children who are victims of domestic violence.
"Currently, victims of sexual violence and women's children are still being accommodated at employees' homes, so they feel uncomfortable for trauma recovery," said the Biak Numfor Yohana Naap Regency Women's Empowerment Service for Child Protection and Family Planning (DP2PAKB) in Biak Numfor, Numfor, Papua, Friday, May 12, confiscated by Antara.
The abolition of violence against women, according to him, does require cooperation with various Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and law enforcement officials to help provide safe shelters for victims of violence.
He hopes that the Biak Numfor Regency Government can build a halfway house for women victims of sexual violence.
He said the woman's shelter was aimed at helping psychologically the victims of domestic violence.
"So that female victims can be accompanied by psychologists to relieve trauma," said Yohana Naap.
