AGO Names 6 Suspects Dapen Pelindo, Minister Of SOEs: Real Evidence Cleaning Up
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir spoke about the determination of 6 suspects in the alleged corruption case of the Port and Dredging Company Pension Fund (DP4) at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo in 2013-2019.
Erick said that his party had submitted the law enforcement process entirely to the Attorney General's Office (AGO) and law enforcement officials.
Furthermore, Erick said that the cooperation between the Ministry of SOEs and a number of parties, one of which is the AGO, is clear evidence in enforcing the commitment to clean up SOEs.
"The determination of the status of the suspect has been based on strong evidence. We fully submit the legal process to law enforcement officials," Erick said in Jakarta, written Wednesday, May 10.
Erick said the disclosure of the Pelindo pension fund case was an entry point for the Ministry of SOEs to continue to improve the pension fund management system in BUMN.
Furthermore, Erick said that there are rights for BUMN employees, family rights, and the right to a prosperous life in old age that must be maintained.
"This is unfair. I will try to protect them with all my might," said Erick.
According to Erick, it took him three years to open this case. Erick said that efforts to clean up the body of the pension fund were a concrete form in protecting workers in BUMN.
"This proves that this is not an easy thing, but we are slowly still doing it. Please pray for us in our efforts to clean up SOEs. So that there is no more sense of justice polluted by dirty hands," said Erick.
