Kasatpol PP DKI Jakarta: Installation Of Political Party Attributes Must Get A Provincial Government Permit

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Arifin said the installation of political party attributes (parpol) must have a permit from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov).

"Yes, he (political party) must write to the provincial government," said Arifin in the Senayan area, quoted by Antara, Sunday.

In addition to obtaining permits, said Arifin, the installation of political party attributes such as flags and so on must also apply for time.

"Yes, we propose how long we will evaluate it. If the time is up, it will be lowered," said Arifin.

According to Arifin, the installation time for political party attributes is usually only 14 days and cannot extend the installation time.

If the deadline for installing the political party attributes has not been lowered, then the Satpol PP will lower the attributes.

"Yes, no (there will be an extension) it will be sent down by itself, right? There are events. Maybe there is a munas, there is a meeting, everything is like that. Yes, when the time is over, it will be lowered," explained Arifin.

Furthermore, Arifin said that when the installation of political party attributes ahead of the 2024 election is the authority of the KPU.

The KPU also regulates which areas the political party may be attached to, while Bawaslu will supervise it.

"If it is the KPU election (related attributes) that regulates it, not us. Later the KPU will regulate whether it is permissible, it is not allowed. Later it will be brought to Bawaslu, if Bawaslu sees it is a violation, it will report it to us," explained Arifin.

It is known that joint officers from the Satpol PP and the Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling Officer (PPSU) of Gelora Village lowered the attributes of political parties in the form of hundreds of flags and banners at two points of Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

"Yes, it was sent down for violating regional regulations (Perda) regarding Public Order," said Gelora Village Head, Tanah Abang District, Nurul Huda in Jakarta, Thursday.

He explained that the cleaning of the political party flag and the Eid al-Fitr greeting banner was carried out by the Ladokgi and Slipi diflyovers, then the attributes were taken to the Gelora Village office.

"Cleaning the political party flag and the Eid al-Fitr greeting banner are in accordance with Regional Regulation 8 of 2007," said Nurul.
