Sudanese Evacuation Group 2, 365 Indonesian Citizens Arrive In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The second batch of Indonesians has returned to Indonesia due to a gun conflict in Sudan. Currently, they are already at the Hajj Dormitory shelter, Pondok Gede, Makassar District, East Jakarta on Sunday, April 30.

Later, hundreds of Indonesian citizens will undergo a health quarantine before being returned to their respective homes.

They are still being placed in a shelter location for data collection. They will also undergo a health check with an antigen swab to detect the virus.

Assistant Deputy for Emergency and Post-Disaster Management of the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Nelwan Harahap, said that on Sunday they had arrived at the Hajj dormitory with a total number of 365 Indonesian citizens.

"345 men, 20 women and 3 children. Our procedure remains as standard as yesterday. After arriving, we will give them breakfast, we will continue with an antigen swab," Nelwan told reporters, Sunday, April 30.

Of the 365 Indonesian citizens from Sudan who were evacuated, they consisted of various professions. Starting from students, students to workers.

"All the dominant evacuations of students and students include migrant workers and our embassy staff in Sudan," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the Soekarno-Hatta Airport City Police had secured the arrival of 365 Indonesians affected by a gun conflict from the Sudanese state at Soekarno Hatta Airport Terminal 3 on Sunday, April 30.

Of the 365 refugees, consisting of 345 men and 20 women and 3 children. They arrived at around 05.30 WIB using Garuda Indonesia GA991 on the Jeddah route.
