Winning Hockey Through Counter Brighton Adu Penalty, MU Challenges Man City In FA Cup Final

JAKARTA - Manchester United (MU) were lucky to beat Brighton and Hove Albion on penalties with a score of 7-6 in the FA Cup semifinals played at Wembley Stadium, Sunday, April 23, western Indonesia time.

This victory led MU to the FA Cup final. Erik ten Hag's squad will meet city rivals Manchester City in the final round.

The first half match was fierce even though it had to end with a score of 0-0. Brighton gave the first threat in the 7th minute when Alexis Mac Allister's shot was parried by goalkeeper David de Gea.

MU replied in the 14th minute when Bruno Fernandes' shot was still saved by goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. Several times Bruno Fernandes' action was able to trouble Brighton's defense.

Ahead of the break, MU got two golden opportunities, which unfortunately failed to produce a goal. First, in the 44th minute when Bruno Fernandes' shot from a tight angle was still wide. One minute later Anthony Martial's shot still bounced over the crossbar.

The second half was fiercer. Brighton got up and made several threats to the MU goal.

In the 56th minute, goalkeeper David de Gea was able to block Julio Enciso's kick after Lewis Dunk's header was successfully cleared. MU responded through Antony's action which was completed with a kick in the 60th minute. However, this Brazilian player's kick ball can still be secured by goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

Brighton responded through Solly March forcing De Gea to make another save from a tight angle.

The 0-0 score forced extra time to play. Again, the absence of goals made the winner determined by penalty. Five MU penalty kickers managed to score. But one in five of Brighon's kickers, S March, failed to become a goal.
