Puan Maharani Is Considered To Have Credibility, Experienced In Political Battles

JAKARTA - Political observer and Executive Director of Indostrategic Ahmad Khoirul Umam assessed that PDI-P DPP chairman Puan Maharani was experienced in political battles.

"However, Puan already has the credibility of a very adequate experience," he said in a written statement received by Antara in Jakarta, Saturday.

This was conveyed by Umam in response to the decision of PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri to assign Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in 2024 and immediately accompanied by the appointment of Chair Puan Maharani as the mandater of the winning team.

As the commander of electoral politics, Puan is asked to immediately form a team to make the PDI-P a success, both in winning the upcoming Presidential Election as well as the 2024 Legislative Election.

Puan Maharani, said Umam, has a long experience in the executive, in the legislature. Then, in terms of experience in political battles, Puan twice led the PDIP victory in the 2014 and 2019 elections. In fact, Puan was also the one who led Ganjar Pranowo's winning team in the Central Java Pilkada since his first term.

Being only good at leading party machines in electoral political efforts, he also has the ability to directly lead in public office assignments, both in the legislature and executive.
