Bayern Munich Internal Conflict Is Actually Viewed By Pep Guardiola As A Threat
JAKARTA - Bayern Munich will host Manchester City at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, Thursday, April 19 in the morning WIB. Bayern need to win at least four goals if they want to qualify for the last four.
The reason is that in the first leg which took place at the Etihad Stadium, Bayern lost 0-3.
Unfortunately, The Bavarian condition is not doing well. Bayern's internal condition was hot following Leroy Sane's fight with Sadio Mane.
The unfavorable situation in Bayern's body could disrupt the Bundesliga team's readiness to face the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
However, this did not make City manager Pep Guardiola careless. Instead, he considered, the internal conflict could actually be the trigger for Thomas Tuchel's team to appear more compact.
"Sometimes you need conflict to make the team more compact. I'm pretty sure of that," Guardiola said on the club's official website.
"That's not a weak point for them, it's a strong point. I know this club is perfect including some players," he continued as quoted by Antara.
The man nicknamed The Professor knows very well how dangerous Bayern is. Apart from having handled the German team, Guardiola has also faced them several times.
"I want the team that plays later to win the game. I know how it feels to fight Bayern Munich. If you are a little passive, you will suffer," said Guardiola.
The Citizens are more favored to advance to the semifinals of the Champions League due to their impressive performance by winning 10 consecutive matches in all competitions.
Moreover, they only need a draw to qualify. Even a 2-0 loss is not a problem.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is still inconsistent in the hands of Thomas Tuchel's new coach. In the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich was only held to a 1-1 Hoffenheim draw at the Allianz Arena, April 15 yesterday.
