PGN Supports The Smooth Supply Of PLN's Lisrik Gas In West Java
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina's Gas Subholding (Persero), PT PGN Tbk supports integrated infrastructure service optimization to maintain the smooth supply of PT PLN (Persero) power generation gas in western Java in Lebaran 2023 during the maintenance activities of PT Nusantara Regas (NR) operating facilities.
PGN's Director of Strategy and Business Development Heru Setiawan in his statement in Jakarta, Monday, April 17, said that the support was carried out by PGN Group through optimizing gas distribution through pipes to PLN generators in western Java, namely Muara Karang, Tanjung Priok, Muara Tawar, and Cilegon.
According to him, PGN provided gas supply for the western and western Javanese power plants of 145-170 BBTUD. So far, one of the gas distribution services to PLN power plants in western Java uses NR facilities.
Meanwhile, NR will carry out maintenance of the annual routine operation facility turn around which will start April 19 to April 27, 2023.
"God willing, the distribution of PGN pipe gas to PLN plants in western Java will run smoothly and safely, so that the fulfillment of electricity needs to the community can be maintained," said Heru, quoted from Antara.
Turn around is an annual routine maintenance activity carried out ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
Maintenance activities are carried out by NR with the aim of maintaining the reliability of the floating storage and receiving terminal (FSRT) and onshore receiving facility (ORF) facilities, so that during the next year's operation, it is hoped that there will be no disturbances.
FSRT is also a vital national object that is the distribution of gas for the electricity needs of the community.
"Towards Eid Al-Fitr, PGN also maintains that gas distribution for PLN Group remains safe through the RAFI 2023 Task Force. Nationally, PGN provides natural gas for PLN Group power plants of approximately 232 BBTUD. Fulfillment of gas to power plants is important so that electricity availability is maintained, so that the micro and macro economy can continue to run," he said.
PGN is committed to continuing to synergize with PLN to increase gas utilization in the electricity sector so that it can provide the best service for the community.
According to Heru, the use of natural gas for the electricity sector also helps reduce dependence on import energy and fuel subsidies, as well as the use of energy that is more environmentally friendly.
