Voivod Celebrates 40 Years Old With Morgöth Tales Album, Here Are The Details

JAKARTA - Canadian sci-fi metal innovator Voivod will celebrate 40 years of their existence in 2023 with a special memorial studio album titled Morgöth Tales, which will be released on July 21 through Century Media Records.

Again recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio, mastered by Maor Appelbaum and produced by Voivod, Morgyoth Tales includes a re-recording of a new studio by the band's current line-up consisting of specially selected songs in which one of them is the new song as well as the album title track, Morg\"oth Tales.

"Morgöth Tales includes 40 years of space exploration," drummer Voivid Michel "Away" Langevin commented quoted from Blabbermouth, Friday.

"It's great for us to revisit the more obscure part of the Voivod catalog, from thrash-punk to prog-metal."

"The main song is a new song, which we started writing on tourist buses and hotels during the European tour of Opeth in November/December 2022. It has experimental musical vibrations that we are currently doing, with a new touch in my opinion. We are also very happy to involve Eric [Forrest] and Jason [Newsted] on this album.

"I hope you like it.MY, Rocky, Snake, and I really had a lot of fun recording it. Everyone goes up and ready to take off!"
