Problems On The Front Camera, Audi Withdraws Q7 From Circulation
JAKARTA - A German car company, Audi will reportedly recall the Q7 2020 model for the United States region. The reason is that there is a problem with the front camera. Quoted from the Carscoops page, Friday 7 April 2023, there were 19 Audi Q7 models produced from October 25, 2019 to November 20, 2019 experiencing excess heat on the front camera. The excess heat temperature on the front camera can occur at a low temperature or when the camera is turned on after the driver turns on his car. As a result, this can trigger fires on the front until it spreads to other parts of the component until the entire car catches fire, as revealed by Audi. The root cause of the problem is the mismatch between the activation software and the heating used.
However, this is not the first time this has happened to Audi Q7. Previously, Audi made a recall in late 2019, considering that vehicles in Europe at that time were the only market where Q7 was updated. The audit will address the issue by updating software control on the front camera. The heating element on the camera was also replaced. The manufacturer will notify dealers and car users about the withdrawal of the Q7 model no later than May 26, 2023.
